Abstract
The essay begins with
an analysis of the third definitive article of I. Kant's Perpetual Peace on
cosmopolitan law and the interpretations that have been provided to address the
issue of the digitisation of EU borders and what this actually means for those
who arrive there in search of protection or a better life. The conclusions
highlight how what the EU is trying to erase is the right to be seen, which is
the cornerstone of Kantian cosmopolitan law.
